How To Make Good Choices

Dear Skyrah and Ava,

You are who you are.

I accept you for who you are.

More importantly, you need to accept yourself for who you are.

There will always be somebody who will not understand you, or respect you or accept you for who you are.

What others think, shouldn’t matter.

You matter.

That is what matters.

You get you.

So get it to work for you.

Be your own kind of beautiful.

Be your own person.

Walk your own path to your true you.

Make the choices that lead you to who you truly are, not lead you away from the best version of you. To become your best you.

When you make good choices that allow you to feel good about yourself, you won’t think less of yourself, or feel less than best about yourself. You will be at peace with yourself.

Make your small choices and all your big life choices from a place of real love. Real love for yourself and real love for others.

Not from a place of fear. Or anger. Or a misguided belief of what love is, where you believe something you are doing that is very wrong is justified in the name of love or a misplaced sense of duty. Doing things the right way is not always the same as doing the right thing.

Doing things the right way based on fear or being misinformed may make you appear in the right on the surface, but you tend to end up feeling a sense something is wrong deep down. Because choices that are not based on real love would not be right. And you would know because they would not feel right, no matter how self righteous you convince yourself you are. They would cause connections to your real self and others to breakdown. Choices that don’t come from the right place get messy, hateful, judgemental and usually end up making you miserable.

Choices that come from a place of real love, are usually simple and everyone can feel it comes from the heart. A giving that is genuine and generous. True love connects and makes the world go round. True love brings you joy.

So keep it real.

Like I try to keep my love for you.

You are my true loves.

xoxo

Mimi
